Today, on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum, which is being held in Dushanbe, the director of the Center for Strategic Research Usmonzoda Khairiddin met with the director of the Institute for Strategic Research of Belarus Oleg Makarov.
At the beginning of the meeting, Khayriddin Usmonzoda welcomed the distinguished guest to the Republic of Tajikistan and expressed his views on the course of the 18th session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum and the prospects of scientific-analytical cooperation with the Institute of Strategic Studies of Belarus. It was mentioned that the complex conditions of today’s world require scientific-analytical centers to show more activity in the study of current issues. The Center for Strategic Research continuously holds scientific-analytical conferences and field research in order to predict political processes. In this process, holding joint events with intellectual centers of other countries is a priority area of activity of the Center for Strategic Research.
Director of the Institute for Strategic Research of Belarus, Oleg Makarov, in turn thanked the leadership of the Center for Strategic Research for the warm welcome and hospitality. Secondly, he noted that the expansion of scientific and analytical relations and the mutual research of various regional and international issues will enable intellectual centers to provide useful recommendations for the protection of mutually beneficial interests of their countries. In this regard, Oleg Makarov expressed the interest of the Institute for Strategic Research of Belarus to strengthen and develop relations with the Center for Strategic Research.
It should be noted that during the bilateral meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Institute for Strategic Research of Belarus. At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the intellectual centers of Tajikistan and Belarus assessed the signing of the new cooperation document as an important step in the development of scientific-analytical relations and discussed the prospects of mutual activities.
The deputy director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Parviz Muhammadzoda, also participated in the meeting.
The meeting ended in a friendly atmosphere and good understanding.
